One of my Digital Art Pieces was accepted to be in iPad Art Show in Austin, Texas
This was the piece that was accepted to be shown at Austin Details Art Show. I created it as a gift for my husband Jason Seidler for his 37th birthday. He is a previous world and national Ultimate Frisbee player. The original image was created using a Nikon D70, then with Phototropodelic on the iPad.

Truly Fine Art from a Truly Unexpected Source: the iPad.
Visual artists are creating art with their iPads and iPhones that blurs the line between painstakingly-executed original oils-on-canvas and fine art, digital-style. Our exhibit shows it off on iPads, on iPhones, on our iMacs, on our 58″ HDTV and as fine art prints (made from an array of printers that run the gamut from artists’ own inkjet desktop printers to our Epson Pro Stylus 9900 archival printer).
Art From the iPad opens just in time for Austin’s annual South by Southwest Interactive conference and runs through March 2011. Juried by internationally-recognized iPad / iPhone artist Corliss Blakely, known for her painstakingly-realistic original oil paintings, and now, her traditionally-inspired iPad and iPhone app-created art. See her slideshow demonstration using ArtStudio for the iPad, and learn more about using the ArtStudio app from her newly-released Manual for ArtStudio.
My first Art Show at Rooz Cafe, 4252 Piedmont Avenue, Oakland, CA Feb 1 – March 7, 2011!
Dear ones,
I am really excited to have my art up at Rooz Café for the month of February. One of the greatest gifts I’ve given myself in the past couple of years, was the decision to live as an Artist. My journey as an artist and teacher really began with the Mandala, so I am excited to share some of my earliest work. I love working in all kinds of media, but am currently exploring and learning digital art and how that will impact my life as an artist, and the greater culture at large. To have others see these and be a part of this is really grounding and meaningful. This is a beautiful beginning to 2011.
Please come by and see me and some of my favorite pieces. Bring your friends and family, it is a nice local coffee shop that also serves beer and wine and is close to restaurants, frozen yogurt and ice cream! I would really appreciate your energy, opinions, feedback, comments and love.
Even if it is only for a few minutes, it will be really good to see you and share in this fun time of year.

Let Go of Trying to Be a Good Artist. Just Create!
Sage advice for all artists!
This is a sign that hangs at my son’s pre-school, and I thought it very appropriate as I launch this new blog wondering how to make it good and deserving of your attention. Usually, the best way is to get good at something is to just start creating. The key to getting better at anything is to just keep learning and moving towards what feels right and what you LOVE. The key to making it sacred is to have clear, heartfelt intention before, during and after the process. Ahh, it feels easier already. Phew! What are you creating with intention today?
